Now idk if this is an isolated incident, or something thats pretty common, but regardless I wanted to post this because I'm pretty damn proud of myself. When I first bought my truck I noticed the stupid center console button didn't work, and the first owner had "fixed it" by screwing one of those cabinet door holders into it to keep it shut. Not sure if thats clear but its irrelevant. ANYWAY. I wanted to find a spring to put the original button back into working order. I search everywhere, couldn't find one, and pretty much gave up on it. THEN! Low and behold! I find a valve spring from a 1 cylinder lawn mower engine and realize its PERFECT. So I cut it down, fit it, and shoved the button back in its hole and VOILA! miracles aren't just on ice. Heres some pics if anybody else had this problem. |

don't have one anywhere around me. closest is probably 40 miles or so and to go all that way for a spring just seemed to silly. |
