Anyone on here have anything other than the crappy slips alot rear end? i can barely pull outta my back yard without engaging 4wd. I have 3.55 and im also lookin to go somewhere in the 4's 4.10 for dakota? Not looking to go locker, but i'd consider it.

i have a factory 9.25 posi with 3.55 gears. after the tires i was considering 4.10's or 3.93's but it still works great even with the 33's so i just got a superchips programmer and now its perfect.

posi? those are chevies
Limited slip in Chrysler unless you are old school then its all about the SURE GRIP BABY!

You likely have an open rear end. I forget at the moment the link i had because i wanted to put in a limited slip or something. I believe it was either drivetrain specialists or moser axle, but i know they make a mini spool and also debate about a junk yard find.

if youre going to install a limited slip, go with an auburn gear conical type.

Thanks guys, i didn't read past the first page, but the Auburn ECTED Max locking differential sounds like it'd be a great thing if they had it for the Dak's rear-end. I cant fully blame my rear-end for not getting out, as i do have some..... TINY.... WORN Wrangler SR-A's 245/70/16. Which im looking to replace with some LT285/75R16E Dunlop® Fierce Attitude M/T's at $188.19 U.S.... i can't find a sweeter deal with better reviews. Anyone on here ever ran a Dunlop? and exactly how much bumper trimming will i have with a 285/75 to give the best clearance?

not very much with a body lift and torsion bars cranked, but about an inch off the bottom of the rear part of the inner fender and just the corners of the bumper.

im running an auburn limited slip and 4.10 gears, it works pretty darn well but i had a pinion bearing go out so im gona upgrade to a detroit true track which is a limited slip that had torque bias and if needed will just about go into a full lock up, plus its all gear driven so no more friction modifier like that the clutch type limiteds take.
