Greetings Group
The LA Blocks...............
http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=8&ved=0CEEQFjAH&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FChrysler_LA_engine&ei=0uQjTbyoC4G4sAOluMTFAg&usg=AFQjCNG6hcRRMv-r-Yp4J6JWCa4RFZKMdQ

Now........The 318 blockneeds to be bored .040inch over.........40 thousands over for you engine savy dudes......... :headbang connecting rods are switched from 318's to 360's......forged and recapped with ARP ends........and the crankshaft gets switched from the stocker 318
to a forged 273 rotator.
Again.....ARP rod bolts replace the factory bolts. The block is classed as square decked, when it gets honed out, and the pistons are Dead Flushed with the block at TDC.........top dead center.............. :slap:

Competition Cams..........
http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBUQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FCompetition_Cams&ei=jucjTfUxjtKwA_f6uNYK&usg=AFQjCNFY4wqtNPxOQ99m9OdOe8lvjoa0qQ

Now for the Cam.............Fire Stick...................My choice will be the Comp Cams 280 H Magnum camshaft.......this cam is ideal for this application and works extremely well with low compression builds......
This cam is ground for 280 degrees of duration and 230 degrees at .050 inch of tappet rise.........This cam is also lobed at .480-inch lift
butwith the Magnum head set up.........we can see higher lift ratios of around .512 inch.......... [thumbs-up]

Since we are using Magnum Heads with an LA style block and a hydraulic flat tappet cam set up.......we better use these babies
http://www.jegs.com/i/Comp+Cams/249/7960-16/10002/-1
Comp Cams 7960 Pushrods @7.650nches in length...........

That is tonights lesson boys and girls
Regards.........tommorow night.................intakes and ignition.........topped of by a Demon............. :headbang

Greetings Group
It's a small block which is readily available..........besides............they are all based on the same block........your just palying with the internals
to make the engine stouter and pull out the ponies............by the way...........this build will pull 509 horsepower at 10:1 compression........

By the way.........you know diesel engines right............?.......Build me a 4bt.............let's see what ya got................
Regards/This thing will be a beast when it's done............... :headbang
