Greetings Group Hey Tim Here are a couple things I found around the way................. The tranny itself might be okay, but it sounds like the torque convert is bad. If the rpms are going up but you have no acceleration then there is slippage between the engine and tranny. The roaring noise is not typical of a bad/slipping tranny but it is typical of a bad TC. A good test for this is to press hard on the brakes while in drive and pressing the gas. If the engine revs above 2500 rpms it's the TC. Could be your fan clutch is locked... this will put alot of drag on your motor. They might not have installe d the TC properly when the slid the trans/engine together.................. I'll see if I can find some torque converter problems.......... Regards/Hope to help TC
