So I got my 2001 Dakota 4x4 back, Dad had it for awhile and said he was going to sell it for a 2wd vehicle. So I traded back the 2003 2wd for the 4x4. She just broke 60480 miles yesterday. Also, swapped the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee TCM for the Dakota's TCM over he weekend. I need to get a MIG welder and cut the cats off and gut them and weld it back under there. Since the precats have broken apart and clogged up the 3rd cat. Dad's guessing its lost about 20HP from the cat being clogged. But she still runs strong. I got a set of R/Ts that are going on it, if the seller can ever find a set of replacement wheels. Also, hope to have a 3" PA BL on her this summer. Found a guy that was selling the 3" Rancho Lift locally but he wanted a fortune for it.

Because the 2003 was my Dad's order from Dodge when my Mom's Chyrsler ended up being a lemon car. It's funny though, he actually ordered one of the first Ram's with a 5.7L HEMI in it. Tneh changed his mind about how he didn't need a truck that big. So he ordered the 2003. He got the original stickwer and all. My problem was I got really wierd about things and the truck. Wouldn't take my pup out the the park cause of the leather seats. And everytime I wanted to do anything to the truck I always talked myself outta it. Plus, I missed the low mile 4x4. After driving a a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the Cummins diesel for work, getting in the 2wd was like going from the 4x4 dakota to my boss's wife's honda.

Sorry, but I've figured it out, if I want a 2wd for MPG, I'll just get a car. Plus if I find a cheap 2wd Dakota RC or CC around town might pick it and bag it (found a white one abouyt a month ago with the I4 and 87000 miles: $2800, but it was sold by the time I talked to the guy)

What really funny is that I've got a set of CCFL headlights with HIDs sitting in the 2003 (those with go up for sale sometime, stockers going back in 2003). And I already have all the audio work I'm going to do in the 4x4 (right now) done. And I have a set of R/Ts coming from Russel (off CustomDakotas.com, dakdur), if he can ever find a set of Vipers for replacements. The R/Ts were for the 2wd,but they are going on the 4x4. Unless, he never find the replacement Vipers and the deal doesnt happen. Then, I'll just stick with the 16x8s.
