Friday Sept 18, 2009 I just bought a used 2007 dakota quadcab st 4x4 3.7L with 49,500 mile on it. sunday Sept 20, 2009 whin I lift church it would not shift out of first. I drove about a mile to a shipping center's parking lot to see if it need fluid, it was fine and no leaks. So I trun it off and It drove fine all the way home. Any idea what is wrong? Sept 29, 2009 This moning win I left work it did it agen. So I Had the place were I brout it to check it out they had no clue. So I whit to the dodge severs to see what they had. It gone coust me $100.00 just see what is wrong.

Another train of thought that just jumped into my brainhole...... :slap:
Check the automatic kickdown cable.......that would be the inner most cable of the
two you should have attatched to your throttle body linkage.....here's a link to explain........ [HUH]

Hi, COOk win I brout the dak the trans work fine,no leaks, Car fax was good no rep. to the trans. I am being told that it has a sefty sw. that kicks in if there is a poblem whit the trans. the pc mit need a download to fix it. By the there are no severs light. and the chevy place cuold not fine a cold for it. Whin trun off the truck and fire it agen it resit the pc and it work fine.

Alta boy yes no check engine light? Today @ McKenney Dodge they found no fault codes stored, performed quick learn , reset valves , line pressure and test drove it. They find nothing. But side I need a transmission service it was passed do at 45,000. So I had them flush and service. @ $170.92. I hope that fix it.
