1998 dodge dakota 4x4 5.2L auto, Well here my probleme, at wot at stoped or moving when it goes from 1 to 2 gear it wont shift out of first unless i let off it a hair, does anyone no why that might be? but its fine in all the rest of the gears at wot, and its fine if im not at wot going from 1st gear to 2. |

No i dont think you no what i mean lol, it kicks down fine the truck shifts awsome, but the only probleme is that when im going from a stop and its on 1st gear at wot for it to shift in to second i have to let of a little or it rill rev right to revlimiter and never shift in to second untill i let off. |

there is usually a vacumme line that runs down to the tranny that aids in shifting, there may be a leak in that line, a small rubber hose that attaches the metal line to the tranny or a rubber hose that connects from somewhere around the carb/TB to the metal line going to the tranny if it is equip'd |

Yep same for me. 08 4.7, with 3.98 rear. Feels like it hit rev limiter and shut down. Just bogged and shifted when I let up. Just returned back to stock from Hypertech tuning. Took in for servicing and put back to stock. With tune I had bumped up rev limit 300 RPM. Wanted to do a few stock runs with Tazzo computer to compare with when I reinstall Hypertech. Never did shift good 1-2, always had a little stall like a slow shift with a clutch. Any ideas? Changstar |
