Ok I finnally got around to mounting my CB Radio
Thanks to the info and directions from 04 Dakota (Scott C)

well I originally had it mounted under the dash but I lost the pass. cup holder, the old lady wasnt happy holding the coffee cup for the 3 hour drive. So the quest began, and thanks to Scott it now is up top. Thanks

1st-- figure out where you want to mount it
Scott has his behind the light, I chose in front closer to the windshield

2nd--remove the reading lamp assembly
Posted Image

3rd-- get a piece of scrap wood about the size of the radio, but small enough to fit through the hole where the light was.

4th-- line up the wood with the bracket centered to the desired location
the headliner will pull down dont worry u can push it richt back into
place with no problem

once this is don screw into place
Posted Image

5th-- run and conect all power, ground, and antenna wires at this point
and replace the light assembly

6th-- put up radio and use it

Once again i would like to saythanks to Scott for all his help with this project.

That looks awesome! I was going to mount mine there but my wife didn't want me blocking the reading lights. Looks great and you took some great pictures. I'm glad you took the pictuures. My hands shake too much to get quality pictures.

That clip unscrews and you can place it anywhere.
