Well i have wanted to do this mod ever since i got my first QC back in 04. I finally did it a couple of months ago, and forgot to post it anywhere. So i figure this is the perfect place to post it first. The reason i did this is so i could start work on a custom fiberglass center console that goes from the dash back to the rear window. It will hold two 10" subs along with a couple of other goodies. More on the box after i finish designing it. Here are some pics.....

There is 10.5" between the seats, but you could fit a 11" box in between the two (if you have the box pushing the coutinous out some). There is enough room to fit a second center console (front OEM folding one) in the back also. I had a second one back there for a while before i sold it.
to mount it is very straight forward. 3 out of 4 mounting places are there from the factory, so just bolt it in with those and drill a fourth one if you want. for the back both hooks need to be relocated. I havent done this yet, but i am just going to unbolt them, and get a buddy to weld them in on the other side. For the time being i just zip tied one of the hooks since it holds and no one ever sits back there anyway. I also only have three bolts holding it down right now since my drill is broken and since 3 bolts is more than enough to hold it down. If you guys have any more questions or want anymore pics feel free to ask.

How about adding this to the home brew mod section with some closeups of the mountint locations?
