Bouncing off Tylers pancake thread... :)

Who actually likes cooking then?

I love cooking and would cook every day if I had the time.

i do occasionaly, im quite inspirational in the kitchen. well i like to throw things together and see how they taste. caz thinks im a good cook.

just can't be arsed most of the time. :P

it probably stems from my mum, when she was younger she was a confectionary baker, and learned the art of cakes etc. i had a very spoilt (sweets cakes etc ) childhood.

i still go back home to see them and to get some cake.

i like to throw things together and see how they taste.

Thats kind of what it's all about though isn't it!

I rarely follow a recipe exactly and usually end up adding a couple of things to suit my taste.

It's cool to look in the fridge and cupboard and work out what will go together to make something nice.

sounds stupid but for a quick easy and varied paste cook pasta in pan then add two packs of cupasoup or other cup soup variety. chuck in some ham a little cheese and sliced pepperami and you have a great tasting dish for very little money.

cup soups are sooo cheap now

I enjoy cooking too. My favourite to make is pizza, regardless of how easy it is you cant beat throwing on all the different toppings when you're making a pizza. However my other hobby is weightlifting so usually when I cook I get sidetracked towards the nutrients im putting together in a meal rather than the taste.

I like cooking, and Im ok at it, not great but ok. My mum always did the cooking when I was growing up and it wasnt amazing stuff and she still hates cooking for other people who arent her kids lol.

My dad on the other hand turned out to be a really good cook (funny how ppl change when they separate!!) and I suppose Ive got some of it from him.

I always panic though if something isnt going quite to plan when people are coming over for dinner though, so I tend to try new things out on me and ricky first (the recent risotto incident when Danni turned up and told me it was hard to make sent me in to lots of panic and I very nearly called the takeaway. Probably wont make it again  )

I love cooking - i love making food, presenting food- making great flavours, using recipes for inspiration.. i love cooking for my girlfriend ( it won her over actually, lol)

theres nothing like eating well.. great to look at, great taste- nothing is as satisfying as making a perfect meal.

i hate microwave meals and would never eat one- i get my 5 a day every day, and dont fry anything or cook unhealthily.. its all about being sensible and looking after yourself, prevention is better than cure.. ive been like it all my life- parents brought me up like it, and i love being like it myself.

Well I hate cooking - stems from having to cook meals everyday for the kids who rarely appreciated it - scoff and run was their attitude!

I make certain things really well and I love my own casserole! But mostly I let Bob do it coz he quite likes it and is fairly creative and he hates washing up so I'll do that instead :D

I dont like cooking because
a) fresh food isnt cheap
B) its can take lots of time
c) it just gets eaten within ten minutes anyways
d) so whats the point

 im happy in my week eating jacket potato's, salad, pizza, spag bowl (most exotic thing i can cook but even the meat is from frozen lol)

I sometimes will cook an apple crumble but Lee does it best as the crumble he gets just right.

My mum's roast dinners now taste like a top chef has cooked it! i now realise my mums cooking is the best and she can cook everything and anything!! my diet now is lacking but i dont have a clue :(

Fresh food can be cheap as long as you know how to cook with the right ingredients and you aren't a fussy eater.

Look at the recipes Sainsburys are doing to feed 4 for a fiver. you could make a different meal for 7 days (£35.00), freeze 3 of the meals each time and have enopugh meals for a month and never the same meal more than once a week (and all for only a weeks cooking and the rest you could chuck in the microwave from frozen!). :)
