I have bought a car on ebay, i went to pick it up tonight bearing in mind i have changed my insurance over that cost me £30. And it cost me £15 in fuel. I got there he had just finished doing the back brakes and he is no mechanic.

He said that its running a little rough were it has been stood for a while, so i took it down the road and it was realy bad to the point i did not think i was gonna make it back to his house. Also on test drive i noticed the brakes are juddering loads which was not mentioned in the add, also 2 front tyres were shagged again not mentioned.

So i walked away from it, i said to him that i felt he had wasted my time. He did seem a genuine guy and was very apologetic. On my way home got a phone call from him saying the car is now running fine, and do i want to come get it.

Now i was almost back at home and i am not willing to do the £80 mile round trip again for a car that was not described properly.

Now as i have won the car should i go back and get it even though the issues i have had, or just tell him were to go?

if its not as described then you can just refuse to buy it and sort it out with the buyer to take you off the winning bidder or if you like the car come to some sort of deal with the owner to drop the price for the cost of the tyres and new disc's by the sound of it only sounds fair in the end of the day <_< if he wants to sell it it has to be sorted or he'll put in back on list the bad bits and get less for it :)

Thats what i thought, they have said they will deliver the car but the brakes still need sorting. The only reason i have decided to buy a cheaper car is so i can take mine of the road and get it sorted and throw loads of cash at it.
