It looks similar to what happened to the MR2 vents - I think (Don't quote me on this) but its when moisture gets underneath (in the fibres) it goes mouldy!! Now on a rocker cover it'd get hot so should've dried it out - unless its too hot and has burnt the resin!!!! Or its caused condensation got cold with the current miserable weather and overnight degrades? Im shooting in the dark but take it off have a look for cracks etc - you could rub it down to the cloth and re-coat but it looks like a pretty tricky angle!!! |

"Not putting miles on your MR2 is like not having sex with your girl friend so she'll be more desirable to her next boy friend." - From Sypderchat "V-tec - its like watching lost. You think its going to be great but in the end nothing really happens." - Cisco <a href="http://www.chrisnewnham.co.uk"><img src="http://chrisnewnham.co.uk/wp-content/themes/lcp_blu_wp3/images/djcc-avatar/1.jpg" width="383" height="104"></a><a href="http://www.facebook.com/NarlyDude"><img src="http://chrisnewnham.co.uk/wp-content/themes/lcp_blu_wp3/images/djcc-avatar/2.jpg" width="42" height="104"></a><a href="http://uk.linkedin.com/in/chrisnewnham"><img src="http://chrisnewnham.co.uk/wp-content/themes/lcp_blu_wp3/images/djcc-avatar/3.jpg" width="39" height="104"></a><a href="http://twitter.com/chrisnewnham"><img src="http://chrisnewnham.co.uk/wp-content/themes/lcp_blu_wp3/images/djcc-avatar/4.jpg" width="41" height="104"></a> | |

strange, could be easy to fix but its hard to tell without getting my beady eyes on it. If your worried about it let me know and i'll pop down and have a proper look, could be just surface discolouration. Which is fixable

Im a laminator, and what the yellow colour is uncured resin. And too much resin in the corners, and the heat will make the resin turn yellow. You could dremel the corners through the damaged resin, once done acetone the white dust out first, make sure its dry . Get some masking tape , tape around the corner of the cover so its a bit proud of the top of the cover. You need to mix a little clear gel and drip into the edge , make sure its higher that the origanal level so you can sand back. Once cured, block back the gel to blend into the origanal gel on the cover, i would say just use 600 wet and dry ,then you need to polish up with g3 compound and finish with a swirl remover if possible. I make carbon engine covers and i spray with a standox two pack lacqure and it makes the carbon have more depth and polishes up lovely. Get stuck give us a pm and i will sort it for you |
