Thought id make a proper prjoect thread. here is the story of it so far: I bought the car a couple of years ago off a member on UJCC had my fun init got the car upto 302.3bhp and 302.3 ft lbs torque The head gasket blew on it so I got that sorted and carried on enjoying the car then not too long before xmas 2007 the conrod blew out of the block  I had got a replacement engine for it and got it dropped in enjoyed the car for a couple of month and came to the conclusion i was unable to afford to run it anymore as i was doing close to a 60mile round trip a day So Easter 2008 I sold it to a member on UJCC The owner thought the big ends was going so decided todo a forged engine rebuild. My round trip became a 10mile round trip a day so I was on the hunt for another jap performance car after months of not being able to decide what to get i found out the owner of my old scoob was struggling to run the car so I offered to buy it back off him. Towards the end of August I bought the scoob and went to the nurburgring init. this would be a huge test for the car seeing as it had a DIY engine rebuild but it didnt speak a single beat and im loving every minute of it. here is the current spec and pics, i will update it everytime i have changed something ![]() 1996 Impreza WRX (import) Engine: Wiseco Forged Pistons Eagle Rods ACL Race Series Big End Bearings ACL Race Series Main Bearings ARP Head Studs Roger Clark Motorsport Modified Oil Pump Walbro 225 Fuel Pump Gates Cam Belt Nissens Radiator Cometic 1.56mm Head Gaskets K&N 57i Induction Kit Braided Fuel Lines VF24 turbo Bailey Dumpvalve NGK 7 Iridium Spark Plugs Inlet Manifold sprayed red Red Silicone hoses Strut Brace Spec R battery Cover Techniclutch Fast Road Clutch Exedy Lightend and Balanced Fly Wheel Fully Decatted using Ninja Exhaust Oil catch Tank Interior: Center Console,Heater vents, door handle gaitors sprayed silver Pro sport Stepper Gauges (Oil Temp/Oil Pressure/Boost) Gaugeplace Gauge Adaptor Kit Blitz Turbo Timer Greddy Profec B Electronic Boost Controller (mounted in ashtray) Kenwood Double Din Headunit Infiinity Components front and rear Subaru Logo and Impreza on driver and front passenger seats Brakes: 4 pot Conversion Mintex pads front and rear Vented discs front and rear Wheels: standard 16" subaru wheels Handling: whiteline ARB Solid Drop Links Bodywork: Jun front splitter Seibon Carbon Fibre Scoop Crystal Side lights HID Kit Colour coded skirts/spats/door handles etc.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

had a productive couple of days. Friday went down to see kevin at billetbitz to have some bits made up then went to triton to find out what fuel and oil smell was, turns out i need to change the o ring and rocker cover gaskets. I then had it put on the rr to check the fueling and see what bhp it was making with the cat in. fueling was spot on and it made 282bhp so sat afternoon i fitted the decat. having the use of a pit was great ![]() sunday i went upto japshow finale and took it down the strip and did a 13.2 1/4 at 99mph very pleased with that. Whilst i was up there i was talking to someone who might be doing my graphics for next to doing

cheers Elaine. Another update: Iv got a small oil and fuel leak. The Oil leak is my rocker cover gasket needs to be changed for a standard subaru one and the fuel leak is my O ring needs replacing. So they will be both getting done in the next few weeks |

Mate, renew the reocker cover bolt washers first... it's very rare that the actual rocker gasket is to blame... the rubber on the washers go hard with the heat and work themselves loose. |
