if you have a n/a diesel can you just bolt a turbo on and shes ready to role. as a few lads from work have offroaders and seem to have bought manifolds to suit t25 or t3 turbos and the run with no problem.
They said there are no other mods just bolt on put oil feeds etc and ready to go???
I dont no nout about dirty diesels thinkin about bodging 1 onto my old transit instead of putting the st24 engine in it :D

You still need something to sort out the fueling, but its not as important as with petrols as they run lean. I still don't fully understand oil buners.

no no no no. turbo diesel engines have different pistons, crank and are lower compression, if people have done it without these mods then there engines wont last. have seen a couple of these so called conversions at my garage and they inevitably end in disaster.. just try and get an original turbo engine for your car and swap it over.

You'll need a VNT turbo to make any headway with the reduced exhaust gases.

you wont need a VNT, but you wont be able to run a lot of boost. You would probs need a diesel pump off a turbo model so you have the fuel enrichment pressure unit on it. (or whatever it is)

Pretty sure diesels are tuned on EGT (Exhaust Gas Temp)

Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)
