Has anyone sold anything on ebay lately??

If you sell something on ebay now paypal hold the money until the buyer receives the item. They then release the money when either the buyer leaves you feedback or will release it after 21 days if no dispute has been lodged.

Ive got 200odd pounds pending in my account but cant get to it because the fricking buyer hasnt left me feedback!

I had this the other day, i bought something and the guy wouldn't send it because he didn't have the cleared funds and was worried i would claim it back or not leave feedback, which i can sort of see.

If you refund the guy 10p the money clears ;)

i have had 3 items refunded to the buyer just this week, i even provided tracking numbers for the parcels and they still found the buyer was right and gave them there money back, i have quite a bit in my pay pal which is in the process of being transfered, once its out i'm closing my pay pal and i'm never selling on ebay again.

had 7 people buy things from me including cars, 2 of which never turned up and gave me bad feedback then ebay proceeded to almost argue a case for them.

oh great so buyers can now get the item then claim their money back and you can't even leave them negative feedback for it

the sickening thing is paypal are going to make a fortune from the interest from all the money there holding

it is getting a bit ridiculous on ebay/paypal now... i had the same as you jay...

and, a while ago, i bought a carbon fibre piece, which said in the advert DIRECT BOLT ON... of course when i got it, it didnt fit at all, even with modifying it..

I opened a dispute with paypal and they said they couldnt refund the money, because the product had been ACCURATELY DESCRIBED....????? WHAT????

Dumbass's... IT DIDNT FIT.. HOW IS THAT ACCURATE!!!!!!! :wallbang:

p.s. by my calculations, 'paypal europe' has a turnover of payments of approx £500,000,000 a year(500 million), which is about 10Million clear profit...

if they are holding peoples money on average for say 2 weeks, they will make approx and extra £2-3Million clear profit extra.....

How would you like an extra 20-30% wages... thats what they have just done!!!!!!!

I'm going to start using EBID, ok so it isn't as popular as Ebay but they way things are going I expect there'll be a mass exodus if the pisstake continues. Ebay is getting too complicated nowadays

i wondered why there has been a sudden drop in parts being advertised on ebay. just a couple of weeks ago i found some massive bargains on parts i needed from ebay seller shops, now the shops are empty and they previously had a constant list of hundreds of parts.

Basically all they have done is take away the chance of a buyer getting ripped off and handed the buyer the chance to now rip off the seller.

As for paypal they are in a win win situation, if the buyer doesnt leave feeback then they sit on the cash for 21 days and claim the interest....

Alot of ebay shops dont actually have the parts in stock they are just a middle man so they dont actually part with any of their own cash, you buy it, pay for it and the shop orders it in. I wonder what will happen now.

actually this is shops i've used before mate who do keep the items in stock. i did email one company and they said due to changes in the ebay selling systems they will not be listing items on there anymore and trading only from their private websites/premises.

i guess i now know why.

Ironically just looking at that site.
Does EBID UK mean only UK sellers/buyers can use it?

It's available in 5 or 6 countries :) If you join as a seller you get a free T-shirt!

http://uk.ebid.net/

Whilst the site looks confusing navigating it is quite easy...customer support should be better as it's based in this country......taking that with a pinch of salt ;)
