Aww don't take it to heart Becky, we're only playing :)

There are plenty of others on here that are just as deserving of that smiley!

Boring fact I heard on TV the other day...

The reason why wasps seem 'drunk' at this time of year is because they literally are... something to do with feeding on rotting/fermenting apples.

Go figure.

I have seen quite a number of different Bumble Bees, especially the big ones. if you want more in your Garden then some old plastic pipe filled with shredded paper and placed in a fairly dry place would be great for them (Garage roof eves are a good place 5* accommodation)

They are not dangerous in any way...they'll make you duck though because of the deep hum they make......

Some Bumble Bees are like Shop-a-holics, some want more than others though it's not really necessary to go out and get it :)

Argie actually strokes bumblebees  . At one with nature and all that. I only actually managed to do it for the first time this year  . There are some biggies around I've noticed over the past few years.

If bumble bees hibernate in the winter how come we have honey in the winter still??

We had an infestation of bumble bees last year at work. It took them days to do anything about them. I had a massive paddy cause one landed on my leg and someone else had to get it off me. :(

Another useless fact i heard on tele yesterday is that there is a national shortage of bees this year in the UK. They think most of them got a disease or something. Most of the honey on the shelves is imported.

Honey is good for you the other thing about Honey is that it never goes off. But in the grand scheme of things it's something we don't really need so it's not really a problem, it's only a problem for those trying to keep working and making money from it.

I hate honey but it tastes lush when you coat parsnips in it before you roast them, yummy!!!
