Why do the Batteries only last a short time? I try to buy the usual Duracell but even they don't seem to last long nowadays and it's costing a fortune. ![]() I never had this sort of thing when I was a kid where the Batteries seemed to go on forever. ![]() Only yesterday I bought some Batts' from Poundland which were made by Hitachi ...I know I know...I thought I'd go for something different but these are even worse than the Panasonic ones... If I'd kept all the Batteries over my lifetime there'd be a mini-mountain in me garden....I'm ashamed* *Feeling for the Environment* |

I use rechargeable batteries now but i think my boss has a battery recharger that can recharge normal batteries |

I've seen those Chargers about, always been put off after taking the explosive factor into consideration but they obviously work I'll have to get one, what have I got to lose?

Rechargeables are well worth it, nut make sure they are NiMH. They'll easily outlast Duracells. |

You can recharge normal batteries but they are never as good as out the packet. They deteriorate with every charge a lot more than original rechargables. I would not rely on recharging normal batteries for heavy duty purposes such as walkmans etc. They will be ok (ish) for remote controls etc. |

get fee one that plugs into the mains, or get of the internet and she wont need one at all
