ok...
got my new lower camber arms fitted and aligned on Friday, did a trip to Southampton on Saturday, drove 100mph max for a couple of short runs cos the weather was real bad.

today i thought i would have the front wheels off as i have some very squeaky brakes, so they needed a clean.

and i spotted this......

Now my sphincter has returned to normal size.... I was riding shotgun with Neil on the M27 on Saturday in those foul conditions, so much surface water he aqauaplaned. Neil has been in my car enough to know I do the same so I am not disaproving. Just adding some colour to a very scary incident.

Mate we were sooooo lucky. Don't show Mrs M the photo otherwise your GTS will be on Pistonheads

I recall you said you felt some wobble under braking which we put down to perhaps being a warped disc. Thats that little issue solved..........Maybe some more feedback from DJCC guys will prove the bolts can or cannot shread :sherlock:

P.S. :offtopic: Neils car is awsome :worship: . Harsh if you are a passenger tho.

the slight wobble on initial braking has gone, it must have been from play caused by the loose bolt.

btw... my brakes don't squeak any more :)

TBH when doing these normally if your a decent mechanic, you torque any nuts like that up.
Even a grease monkey would have at least used an air gun on low pressure on these to insure they were sufficently tight enough.

:2p: but the guy who fitted them must of been a right idiot!

mistakes happen and i know! was he being rushed by other members of staff?
you just dont know.
Its possible to just forget something like this its not as if he meant to do it
although its genreal practice to double check nuts and bolts at least go through it in your head what and what you havent done up.

but at least you ok ;)
i was thinking of going here to get my suspension set up properly other than this little incident is the service good and prices ok?

good service there, and their machine is the best in the area for car geometry setup.

it was a rush as it was the last job of the day on a Friday.

pricing is good too.

shame this mistake was made, as i had no complaints :(
