As i said...WOW! even though it aint running the td05 map untill tomorrow thats,it still runs & hit its 1.1bar on the old chip i have but just for safety its replacement ecu chip should be here tomorrow. Anyhow i have been using it off boost to get to work but curiosity got the better of me & i just had to! just cannot beleve the difference with this turbo on,hits boost, the car squats & thrusts off relentlessly and doesnt run out of steam in high rpm like it did with the td04 it just keeps pulling & pulling. Simply fantastic result much better than i imagined it would be,so it will be off to the rollers this weekend cos i just have to know whats going off under the bonnet. Now i need to find out if the auto box will handle it? apparantly its a fairly bomb proof box but does anyone know how much a scooby autobox can handle happily?

Theres a big difference between the 04 and 05 mate, the 04 will run out off puff about 280bhp and the 05 will keep going on its way to 350bhp.

What you lose is in spool up on the 04 more than makes up for in top end power on the 05....you getting it on the rollers in December?

Obviously the only down side to fitting a bigger turbo to an auto is the kick down and lag time, something you will notice when its time to overtake when at low revs.

I can imagine you now rocking back and forth in the seat "spool you bugger spool!!"..  but when it kicks in........ whoooooooosh ;)

TBH Rob you have the right mods to make the 300 club its just how the auto box puts the power down on the rollers.

will do pete, come along to triton saturday mornin if you want Pete,i think it should be ok on the rollers Jay it did ok last time really for a td04 & if the feeling of this thing is anything to go by it wouldnt surprise me at all if it was around the 300 mark which is all i ever wanted my car to be,i think a 300bhp wagon is fairly impressive & it feel great & even better ive done it all myself & feel very pround of what ive done ;)
