Does anyone know why the polish is coming off after 2 washes then buliding up in the scratches and stone chips?

I use AutoGlym Polish and for some reason it won't stay on the car!

The paint is in quite bad conditon and needs cutting back with compound but to scared to do it myself with a black car!

Once a week at most, usually once every 2-3 or even 4 weeks.

All depends if it's getting used or not as it spends a lot more time on the driveway these days me me buzzing about in the Civic.

Unusual as i use Auto Glym and it stays on for ages (couple of months max).

3M make quite a good compound that is used on my car and came up a treat i will speak to my mate to see what it was, although i'm sure Brad (detailing guru) will now of plenty of stuff.

I do chuck a load of autoglym shampoo in! i wonder if that is causing the problem!
Or i have a mitt that might be a bit to abrasive!

How much polish are you using? less is more when waxing a car ;)

And what polish - Super resin polish is actually a polish and a sealant (wax) at the same time. Also there are a lot more durable sealant/ waxes out there that will last a lot longer.

Mine gets washed and spray waxed once a week :)

As often as I can, but then half the time it ends up down the road or covered in trees and is a mess again.

Could really benefit with someone who knows what they're doing to give it a bit of tlc bodywork wise

I used Black label autoglym polish ultra somthing and this seemed to do more damage than good!

Who was on about snow foaming the other day? What is that about? I want it?
