I was looking for a basic G-Meter when I came across this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GTech-PRO-S...emZ130251963069 Its a bit more than I wanted to pay but would be pretty cool if it works. Has anyone got one or something similar? do you how accurate they are? I guess they must calculate the RPM from measuring voltage drops in the 12v supply Thanks |

I have got one of the original G-Tech pro meters... works by using an electronic gyro, a bit like an r/c helicopter to measure 0-60, 1/4 mile, 0-100, and braking distances. Need a perfectly flat and level (and private) road to work accurately though. |

Oh right so guess the gyro must act as a kind of accelerometer then?, cleaver stuff. Have you ever been able to test it's accuracy? |

My G-tech pro is accurate to 0.1sec for 0-60 ![]() (according to the manufacturers). I managed a 5.1s in my 200 on standard wheels, no launch control and stage 1 (270BHP) which is about right. |
