hi.i have decided to sell my civic coupe and i have been looking at a levin AE111 BZG for a while. but cant seem to find insurance for them. where have you insured them or what have you insured it as, as i always seem to get corrola come up.
and also how old are you and how much is it costing you to insure. with or without claims and points.
thanks

you'll have to explain to an insurance company that its a corolla levin bzg. i think they can be tricky so you'll have to phone up for it.

from what i have heard i can just get away with saying that it is a corrola glx, as that is what it says on the V5.
and if that is right my insurance will insurse me for just over £800 fully comp. which is great for something with around 165bhp.
because thats what im paying for my civic coupe.

Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)

Depends really what you wanna do and how much you got to spend

BZG's came out in 1995 so there are more of these about and cheaper, they come with the 5spd box. two variants are SuperStrut and Mcpherson strut.
SuperStrut has twin pots on the front, LSD as standard.
Mcpherson is single pots and LSD optional.
The SuperStrut wears out after about 60,000 miles roughly and is costly to replace at about £400-£600
Mcpherson doesn't have this problem.

In 1997 the BZG had a facelift and the BZR was also released.
Both variants have the 6spd box, Air bags as standard, and ABS
BZR has SuperStrut and BZG has mcpherson, Maybe some BZG's with SS though

The Six speed is a weaker box but will last, it just doesn't like harsh pull aways off the line!

i just wont something that can put it's power down and be reliable realy.
always wanted 6spd box. but nothing i cant do without.

i used to hang around with them, but not anymore. they are nice when they wont something then they are back stabers when your not around.
and they all race therir cars around. which you have all seen them. not realy cars to be racing. lol
and should be saved for the track anyway.
but then when they go to matchums or something they wont go on the track.

and also dont want to be known as part of the DMC (dorchester modified cars).

if we can get a few up for it. im definately up for it in the bog standard nissan haha
i'll get it polished up beyond belief to make sure it doesnt look too shabby

isnt it dorchester modifying cruisers? (or something equally as stupid)

and i heard you need alloys... or a wife to join it... i mean wtf?

btw i work in moomooos in dorch (hardye arcade) but we'll keep that quiet...
