Can anyone tell me if the classic impreza STI diffs are able to shift touque between axels or is that only the Type R/RAs with DCCD? I can find loads of info on DCCD but nothing on the standard STI diffs. Cheers |

well i think they do as they have a centre lsd diff, but im guessing its just done by what axle has the least grip etc? instead of the selectable centre diff (dccd) Wait for the experts to give you a decent answer because i'm pretty sure what i just said may be a load of rubbish lol

[GK-customfield]Lewis[customfield-GK] Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD ![]() EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost) | |

mmm, yeah i'm pretty sure they must have, being rally car in all. But if they can shift torque between axels, thats is basically DCCD. unless it just non-adjustable ![]() |

With DCCD(driver control center diff) you can adjust the diff lock ratio of the LSD which is only available on STI Type R's and RA's A very useful tool for being able to set the diff lock ratio depending on the various roads and running conditions. By rotating the dial fully forward is diff free, rotating it fully backward is diff lock and you can continuously change the diff lock ratio by the using the settings in between. DIFF FREE: No front and rear LSD (Front to rear power distribution=36:64) DIFF LOCK: The front and rear have an almost direct connection. (Front to rear power distribution=front/rear load distribution) |

Thanks for the info I bet DCCD is good fun in the right conditions Do you know if a normal STI does something similar or is just like a type r/ra set to diff free all the time? Cheers |
