An FMIC is an FMIC at the end of the day mate, as long as it wont effect your current setup i.e. too big = more lag then it should be ok.

The place you buy it from should ask what mods it currently has and accommodate for it. :)

So should be alright to buy a cheap one?

How cheap?

Done any research on the company, do they have a good rep etc?

tbh there is probably a consensus with skylines, e.g. a certain type which proves to achieve the best results.

That’s a question for the GTROC IMO. :)

it'll be fine mate, almost certainly be an autobahn 88 kit, which will be a copy of a blitz/greddy kit.

Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)

Apart from the name brand intercoolers like HKS,Blitz,APS to name a few id be willing to bet that most of the aftermarket intercoolers that you see on ebay and the like are all made at the same place in japan/china but re-branded.
1995 WRX - 318bhp/300ftlb - SOLD - 2005
2001 WRX Bugeye - 235bhp/230ftlb - SOLD - 2007
1996 WRX Type RA - 282bhp/285ftlb - SOLD - 2008
1997 STI Type RA - 350bhp/320ftlb - SOLD - 2009
1991 Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 286bhp/280ftlb - SOLD - 2009
