Hi guys, when i have people in the back the rear wheels scrape the inside wheel arch.

would this be caused by shocks or springs.

Thanks david

are they 17" alloys? maybe get smaller tyres? if the shocks are going then they would be leaking oil i should think.

i am running 17" but the tyres are quite low profile, i cant see any oil. i will try and take a closer look.

do you think its the springs worn.

Thanks david

are they the original springs? if so i would guess they would be as i just replaced mine with eibach springs and the old ones were very worn. im sure it even raised the car slightly which would suggest they were worn.

Springs are normally fine but STIs do allegedley suffer from rear shock problems but i'm not sure which versions

No mud flaps, it is for sure the tyres on the wheel arch as they are all rubbed and they stink when i pull over.

thanks
