1 check to see if the box is sealed and possibly even trace the wires.
or
2 get an auto electrican to look at it
or
3 remove it and get a certified fitter and buy a new one

look at your electrical parts ie. fuse box alarm/immobilizer etc and check for the obvious like cracks bad seals etc... check that all seals and seal where applicable. Bare in mind that if water has got in somewhere dont just seal it in but open, clean with something like wd40 and refit.

Check that water in not running through the wires on route to somewhere else like into in through the firewall or somewhere else.

If I was a professional auto electrician I still couldent tell you the fault without seeing it so if that fails I suggest maybe someone from here with knowledge could have a look at it for you or seek professional help about it.... Dont know whats up with Dave (driftingpheonix) now days but he could possibly have a look at it for you.

another way is wait for a dry day and get the hose pipe out. spray the front of the car through the font bumper and over the bonnet and see where the ingress of water is . trace the water and check all connectors in the vacinity!!

loong way of doing it but could be your cheapest option.
