Whining Sound

Hi all im getting a whining sound coming from the front of the car, its not constant just happens now and then but its getting worse, anyone have an idea on what it could be. :o :huh:

Id have a good poke around but the weather is dire, il check for correct tension when i can and i assume there should be little or no slack. :D

should be able to twist the belt no more than 90 degree but doesnt want to be much tighter than that.
1995 wrx wagon the cleanest around!!!

I also think its probably one of the belts but if not check to see if you have a woman lurking around there mate as they have a habit of whining too :lol:

i have a roller bearing turbo ands its not that, i heard it again today, thinking it may be a heat shield so il get it booked in. ;)

Heat sheilds tend to squeak where they break away and you get a metal on metal sound.
