Wheel Balancing Weights

Should these be on the outside of the wheel (hammered on) or on the inside of the wheel (stuck on) or doesn't it matter?

I think the general rule is to have the sticky ones unless you got steel wheels mate ;)

dont think it matters Paul,they can be hammered on the outside edge or can be back balanced(stuck on the inside rim). i always have em back balanced theres nowt worse than having big lumps of lead spoiling the look of your cars feet.

that's what i was thinking as i have some nicer sstandard impreza wheels and ,as you say, having a big lump of lead is not pretty.
Just that i take my car to Bathwick (cheapest price for my tyres) and they use the outer weights.

I doubt they will use outer weights Paul if they are alloys mate and if they did I would not be impressed :o .... got my tyres from bathwicks to some time ago and they used the stickys mate ;)

I had mine done with stickys a while back and have lost some since... part of the sticky remains but the weight is gone! Maybe I left it on the drag strip at Pod last year! :lol:
