Just got back from setting up my TC (cheers Dan).

Its a seriously good bit of kit! 200s can be a bit of a handful, but with the RLTC fitted its just point and shoot B) You can dial in a bit more 'slip' and still have plenty of fun.

The launch control is pretty cool too, although I think it will take a bit of time to get right at the pod :D

It was really easy to fit, 6 wires to the ECU (injectors, RPM and power), then three wires to the ABS ECU.

It'll be interesting to see if the launch control makes a difference to my 1/4 mile times.

what launch control unit are you using?
or is it a program mapped on your ecu?

Its part of the Race logic traction control, so its a piggy back unit.

Push the button, foot flat to the floor, then dump the clutch...The unit holds the revs at whatever you set it to (4500rpm in my case), then feeds the power in minimising wheel spin.

I will take my laptop with me for 'tweaking'.

Bear in mind that the drag strip will be grippier than your average road, and your tyres will be sticky from the burnout so you might need to raise the launch rev limit a touch to prevent bogging down.

I have emailed them a couple of weeks ago to see if it fits on a RX engine too.

I know you cable it into the injectors (indirectly) but seeing as an RX has leading and trailing plugs i am not sure if it will work. Hopefully will. I am really tempted.

Does anyone know if it is Rotary friendly?

I don't know off hand, but I can't see why not. You splice the injector feed at the ECU.

Pretty sure I've read of TC being fitted on the MRC forum.

Might be worth a quick search over there

I am pretty sure it can be fitted to ANY engine whether injection (in which case it cuts the fuel) or carburettor based where the spark is cut (and you get lots of flames).

Email RLTC - they are a very helpful bunch.

Daniel.

Judging by the title of this video it should be possible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIR2KKDjYzc&feature=related :)
