Not really technical tbh but i thought i would slap it in here anyway.

Got some better condition standard impreza wheels but they are manky on the inside so i want to clean them up before going on.
Also would it be worth rubbing them down to get rid of some of the cack of the mating faces (both the cars and wheels) if so what do people suggest?

cheers

White spirit? :dunno:
Good for loosening up Tar etc
I don't think it will damage the surface.

if its protecting them from dust and the usual road grime what gets stuck in their then, when ive cleaned my wheels off the car i give them a coat of auto glym high deffinition wax and crap just washes off easily, its pricey wax but i use it on my paintwok as well its incredible stuff and worth money over pther polishes & waxes ive used.
