hi guys to day i removed the box joiner that sits between the maf and the inlet of the turbo, it has the main air inlet pipe in and out, a small pipe that is connected to the bottem of the boost controller and another larger pipe that seems to be a vacume pipe and pushes on to a metal pipe. as i have removed the box i had no where to connet the large pipe to and it would not run without the pipe connected. so i connected it further down the line. i have a blitz bov so there is a bung where the recirc used to be, i plumbed the large pipe in to this hole, the car runs fine but...... 1. when i change gear the wastegate is really really loud now. 2. through the induction kit you can hear a loud humming like the sound of the fans. is what i have done ok or am in about to blow the car up. Thanks David |

its fine mate, the humming is just the air going into the engine, and the "wastegate noise" is just louder because the box you removed is a resonator box |

[GK-customfield]Lewis[customfield-GK] Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD ![]() EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost) | |

if the vacume pipe that comes off the bottem of the boost controller is not plumbed in will it cause any problems as i noticed last night that it was boosting higher, hitting 1.2-bar and holding at 1.1-. but not fitting the fuel cut. Thanks David |
