my recirculating dump valve makes a noise like blowing over the top of a bottle so im assuming its knackered,or is it normal,can i fix it by lubricating the valve. standard denso thing? |

It sounds to me like you have a leak, check all the surrounding pipework ect.

pretty much 100% sure i dont have any leaks all pipework is brand new and boost holds all the way |

that would be rather i good idea paul. will it be ok to run cos i dont seem to have any boost issues just the silly noise it makes maybe i try some magic spray oil and keep activating the valve to get oil around the crusty dried up piece of junk :lol: |

You could try to take it apart to see why it's not closing (that's if you can take them apart :unsure:). blast some wd40 or brake/carb cleaner see if that clears it. Should be fine to run but it won't get better but it may not get worse. |

thing is...i spent money on an aftermarket dv and it was shit,so i put the original one back on and car ran alot smoother and original dv sounds alot better(not as irritating) baileys sounded like a wet fart echoing! :lol: its for sale if anyone wants it £30 please some one fu^kin take it off my hands :lol: |

i would say that noise is normal, they are only diaphragm valves after all! mine always sounded wierd. The other option is getting a Forge motorsport re-circ valve, which is a pistion type
