the one I have is actually registered as a 2.0 gl mate (import) but I actually insured it for what it is plus the extras it has. Yes it will be much cheaper to insure but would not recomend you doing it. Im not really to sure if this would be economical even....opposing to getting one "out of the tin"

hmm....we'd have bonnet already, just the diff etc was the main thingwould a conversion wrx be worth as much, as there is one for sale already done, but the gez is asking 4k?? |

the insurance is a big factor, yes you could get insurance on a turbo converted sport, but alot of insurance companies would charge you more than they would do if you bought a wrx turbo, just because its 'a conversion' and it wasnt supposed to be that way from the factory. for the money involved id say buy a standard impreza turbo, if they did a turbo del sol out of the factory i wouldnt spend the money doing mine, but because they dont i have no other choice so have to shell out the extra cash. plus in reality it will still only fetch a value of the sport model, maybe a little bit more but not as much as a wrx because it just wont be a wrx, you would need to change a hell of a lot as its already been said. |
