2 reasons...the first being im going to have it back on the rollers with the standard map to see if its the chip making it run rich and the second....because i can...

There is no hesitation at all @0.9bar...so either its the chip making it hesitate or a plug is breaking down @1.1bar...we will see..

Make sure you make the wires to the switch as short as possible.
[GK-customfield]Lewis[customfield-GK]
Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)

I would say because its a resistor Jay and you dont really want to be adding much more resistance by using eith a long or thick cable/cables

The J1 resister is cut john its just switched now....This is a mod ive seen numerous times on Scoobs that have come in from Japan, its just away of running a stock map and a modified map on a OE ecu.

Ive tried and tested it...i can drive along on the stock map then flick the switch to the modified map it all works fine..

If it wasnt for us going to the Nurburgring in September i would of already had a Simtec ECU fitted but that will have to wait till we come back.
