Yes i know i am stupid so please dont tell me that saturday. i gave the car a clean, so i thought i would give the inside of the wings a clean and then that turned in to a full engine blast off after it was done i went to see family, during the drive i noticed that the check engine light come on when i de-accelerated and started sputtering but as soon as i put my foot on the peddle it would go off. yesterday i went for a drive, the light stayed off but there was a lack of power. It still was showing that it was hitting 1bar boost but only felt like it was hitting 0.6-0.7, it still spools up like normal and boosts when it should but feels like its holding back slightly, not that feeling when theres water in the system but like someones turned down the boost Thanks David |

read the code would be your first step (www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk on the help page) (i would possibly guess water in the air filter). Jet washing isn't neccesarily a problem but you do need to cover up quite a few bits beforehand. |

no induction kit, but i do have a pipe croos panel filter but all is dry. it does seem to have a flat spot when you first put you foot down it stalls then picks up again and like i said before its like someone has just turned the boos down a bit. maybe its the spark plugs ? |

no, i have had the car for 1 month now and i dont think they hace been done in a long time, i gave it an oil change and the oil was like treacle, the gearbox oil was very low. so i think it hasnt had a service in quite a while. The car still shows 1bar of boost but feels less, if the plugs are on the way out would it still boost to 1 bar or would it be less. Thanks |

It would still boost to 1bar but if they do need replacing they may struggle. I went for NGK PFR6B (0.7mm) gap only about £35 and they don't take long to change. |

Looks hard because of all the stuff you have to move out of the way but is more time consuming then difficult and yes, you most probably will lose a bit of skin  |

plugs take about 40mins-1 hour depending on yourself. easiest to work from underneath no nead to remove anything or jack the car up just lay down and get stuck in
