Hi, Bascially to stop my Mazda MX5 lifting at the front on turn in to corners at very high speed I'm thinking about fitting some canards (little curved winglets). Can these be deamed as a sharp edge for the MOT..? Also can I raise the standard rear wing buy about 1-2" on home made alloy blocks ? or would this be picked up on the MOT..? I wanted to fit a complete flat underbody from Garage Vary, but am still getting no where with them. Thanks for any help. Paul |

Sharp edges on the MOT are only applicable to corrosion As far as the wing not a problem with me

i would say even if you did get a "jobs worth" mot guy you could just put some of that door edge rubber trim on just for the mot. it will slot on and off easy. just a thought |

There is always a chance that a tester make take a dislike to them but as the failure report is now picked from pre laid out text on the computer it would be difficult to get a reason for rejection that directly applies to the canards as being likely to cause injury without them being corroded bodywork |
