I dont think they do Paul as they use the apexi boost solenoid so its totally independent of the ecu.

David your only going to be able to run standard boost with the boost controller unless you start playing with FCD's

i may be it's just that in the instructions it does say not on any other car then the specific model but that may be a get out clause from Apexi incase you feck your car up :)

No because the ecu will still pick up a signal from the map sensor.

I took my old wrx to triton it was 220 bhp @ 0.7 bar they fitted a dawes device and set it to 0.9 - 1.0 bar and it took it to 252 bhp 32bhp gain.

my sti is set at 0.9 bar, if i took it to 1.1 bar what sort of gain do you all think i would get.

Thanks

If you take it to 1.1bar you will hit fuel cut.

You shouldn't get melted pistons at 1.1 bar.

David if you fit it get your fuelling sorted out at the same time.

How is he going to get his fueling sorted?...the ecu is only going to pump in the amount of fuel its mapped for, unless he fits a generic mapped chip or a different ecu the fueling
will be the same.

About 1bar...

Bigger intercooler, full decat, raised boost pressure are mods needed to get near the 300bhp mark and maybe throw a fuel pump into the equation.

i have the following.

full decat
pipecross panel filter
equal length headers (to be changed for un equal)

and i am at 271hp like i said before.

the things i wanted to add with in the next 2-3 months are as follow

FMIC
fuel pump
manual boost controller
and possibly a chip
blitz nur back box
afterburner center section

do you think these would do the job.

thanks david

If you going to fit a chip then there's not a lot of point fitting a boost controller because you wont be able to raise boost over what the chip has been mapped for because of the limit of the early map sensor.
Another limiting factor is the 380cc injectors they will be as good as maxed out at 300bhp but possible to achieve that kind of power.

whats the best course of action regarding the boost controller and ecu,

what are options, would i be better of buying a new performance ecu and fitting a boost controller or will it not work like that.

thanks
