Hey, I bought a strut bar which is supposed to fit a chrysler neon and it was only £30 = bargain!!!! According to the US celica owners these do fit after re-drilling holes in the mounts. But after looking at it the holes would have to be drilled really close to the edge of the mount and Im not keen on that at all, plus it will just look bodge. So instread I have designed my own mounts, got all the sizes and prototype on paper and it looks rather ruddy good! But now I need someone to actually make it! Anyone know of a good local fabrication place? i.e. would trickets do it? The mounts are two circular polo shapes 16cm diameter with three precisely drilled holes. Then two brackets welded on to each mount to bolt on to the bar (Of which is already fabricated). Any suggestions would be most gratefully received! Cheers guys! |

all the presure is on the inner holes i dont think that you will suffer many problems from a re-dril i personally would try that first as you've already spent out and celicas are built with strenght in mind earlier st162's came with them as standard so i dont think you'll be suffering much body flex anyhow if toyota kept up the build quality as i imagine they would failing that it wouldnt be hard to weld some home made rings oni'm sure someone like turbo dymanics would help you out i've used them before to do heavy gauge welding |
