Ok, me and Jimbob (cheers for the lift, mate) Went to Wincanton to see my 'completed' Almera project.

Some of you may know the problems, but it's a long story.
So, after 3 years of waiting, with all my money tied up in it, this is how my Almera looks today....

Mate, It's gone way way way past them making up invoices totalling 120hrs work! That was 2 years ago.
This is the result of our mediation agreement, which gave him until today to complete the car.

His excuse was falling off his bike and hurting his shoulder, he assures me it's within 4 weeks of completion, so I gave him a final chance and 4 weeks.

Like Jim said, watch this space. (cos nothing will happen!)

the guys a joke. surely he isnt the only mechanic that works there so an injury wouldnt cause problem? as for 120hours labour is that what they have billed you for so far? i wouldnt put that down as 12 hours work let alone 120. wonder if they still have the sr20 there, did you see the pulsar? im wondering if they used the engine or sold it...

hope you get it sorted rob.

similar thing (kinda) happened to a mate of mine with a supra, sent it somewhere to get loads of bits fitted, came to pick it up and the car had been stripped of most of its parts. they decided wtf and stole everything they possibly could to make up for the loss of parts.

Try to take a legal approach to sort it, if not, get some people to f&*k him up or go to his garage when its open and steal everything you can. Oh and make sure someone deletes this thread and all those relating to your car lol.

This situation is just totall bollocks as far as I am concerned, I have been in the garage trade for 28 years man and boy and we have never had anything like that happen. They can't just keep the car in bits and bill you for what is nothing more than mechanical rape of a perfectly good car

If they got you to sign for a Job Card or workshop Sheet it is a legal contract stating your permission for them to carry out what you require and for them to accomplish the job and nothing extra should be charged without your permission

The time frame of events is just a totall farce I would refuse to pay anything and take it up with Trading Standards, they love garages ;)

All been done lads. Only reason i've given him the benefit of the doubt this time is because it's gone too far to use violence. I would also loose anything I actually have in assets. And probably go to jail.

No, I'd rather wait, take him to court and put him out of business that way.

Best way, rather than violence, where 'YOU' would probably end up in the slammer ....

F**k that Cheeky c**t I would be inclined to go down there when it's dark and well the rest I'll leave up to you. Id also follow him home to find out where he lives and see if that assists you in anyway.

Guns blazing wont work that will get you in prison, but be tactful and leave no proof and stitch him up some way or another. :)

I would not be very impressed either putting mildly and it is a pi$$ take (I honestly thought this was another April fools thing  ) .

Regardless of what I think should be done in a radical manner I certainly would not advise anyone as such on here though as one just doesn't know what might happen another day gone bad and it either this comes back to bite you or one is just left with guilt over such advice ;) ;)

Best leave our comments here on legal technical terms me thinks as all else needs not be publicised for most obvious reasons.

Best of luck in getting this sorted!
