hi everyone i've got simon coming lunch time for my first remap can't wait got to say a big thanks to parkstone garage(myk) for fitting all my stuff ready for the remap can't recommend them anuff here the list.vf28 turbo second one i've had to buy :angry: but thanks to harvey off scoobynet i got a good on now fmic bit of a pig to fit walbro uprated fuel pump 440 injectors with carl davey adaptors full decat already on car induction kit already on car apexi pfc 3 port boost solinoid and also got new rocker cover fitted and new plugs. would have had a fpr fitted but it hasn't turn up yet so unless it turn up today it will be maped with out it. hoping the car gets over the 320bhp mark i'll get photo's and tell you how it went later |

Jolly Green has mapped my car several times and i cant recommend him enough. Hes a really friendly guy and very good and professional at his job. You wont be dissapointed mate.

well all didn't go to plan about 5minutes in put it in to 4 and 3/4 throttle started to hit boost and one of the pipes pop of the fmic pull over to fix and see some smoke and oil in the engine bay turn out to be a bolt off the rocker cover had pop out hadn't been tightened up phoned the garage and they would pop soon as to fix but simon had to get to another customer so put a basic map so i can drive it and will be down soon to tune it properly so the waiting continue's sound great though

Gutted mate... Might be worth taking off the silicone hoses on the intercooler pipes and spraying with hairspray will help to stop the pipes popping off.. Have you had rocker cover gaskets fitted recently? |

had the rocker cover done with all the part that where fitted because it was leaking near the tub. just unlucky i think mate tightened the hoses claps all round took it for a run to hit boost to see if any came loose none did so thats all sorted just need the remap now :lol: simon set the knock link sensor to warn of any problems only running 0.8 bar of boost at the mo so really can't wait to unleash the rest the vf28 kicks in about 2800rpm and pulls and pulls, a lit bit slower than the td04 on spooling up but the chatter from the induction kit and dump valve sound the nuts.

Bad luck mate. Boost at 2800 is very good though. Does it run out of puff at the top end or have you not had the chance to take it that far yet?? |

pull all the way i think well took it to 6000rpm and thought i'd better stop. :lol: simon might pop back later had to go to bristol and said if he had time he would, if not maybe next wednesday or if that doesn't happen 8th of april

well its alive simon came and finished the remap today what a nice guy , after a few runs up and down the bypass he turn it in to a beast boost's all the way to 1.4bar now bit of a diffrence from the 0.9 it was before pulls like a train can't wait to get it on the rollers simon said should be 315-320bhp.one little problem , i have a ticking noise from the engine don't think its the tappets i had the plugs changed last week could it be those or the leads or maybe the injectors i'll probably wip it in the garagetomorrow to check it out.
