Apexi AVCR is tricky to set up, but has the best features, and is reliable.

Depends what you want imo.
for your year car there is www.ecutek.com which is a remap ,yes it costs ,£600 and you do have to be careful who you get to do it as some lock the ecu some don't.
Most boost controllers are only as good as the person who sets them up and the actual health of the car.
Any of the boost controllers on flat4online are pretty good.

Not if you read the instructions

Had full boost (1.2bar) on my T28R by 3000rpm... and it spooled up a hell of a lot quicker than with just a bleed valve.

On your Garage post it says the car is 2000 (don't mean turbo 2000) so the Ecutek (www.ecutek.com) system can be used on your car.
Although not local (but willing to travel) is Jolly Green Monster (www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk) the price on his website is £650 (yes it's not cheap) but he can give a lot of advice depending on how far (and fast :) ) you want to take the car.
and he is very, very, very good i've been in a few of of the cars he has mapped BUT he doesn't map for pub talk figures.

i was looking at getting the apexi avcr when i go turbo, from what i was reading on it there is actually a simple mode built in to it so you select the boost level you want and it does the rest for you, not sure how good that option would be though?

It only takes half an hour and a few full bore runs to the red line in 3rd or 4th to set up.

Give me a shout if you get one and want help ;)

Daniel.

Firstly Luke dont buy feckall from flat4online!! not great by all accounts and secondly if you are going along the remap route its not worth buying a boost controller for your car because you wont really gain anything, it will be mapped for a higher boost level anyway...may aswell put the money towards the remap.

I'd advice getting a forge actuator too, makes the power curve much more smooth along with a decent boost control
[GK-customfield]Lewis[customfield-GK]
Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)
