hey all thought i would put an update on here about my recent purchase. ive had the car about 2 weeks now and have been very busy things i have done so far : fitted a full rx7 rz suspension fitted new hatch with standard spoiler had 4 toyo t1 r tyres 225/50/16 fitted (keeping the standard wheels for now) fitted braided brake hoses and replaced fluid with motul rbf600 fitted alternator (which has sorted out the misfire issues at high revs) put silkolene fully syntetic oil in the diff and gearbox fitted engine brace bar fitted feed stainless downpipe fitted 2 leather uk front seats (they have the longer runners so i have more legroom now, i also did a quick refurb to the leather will do a proper refurb at later date) i also have new poly engine and diff mounts to fit but havent done this yet the car is also booked into reworx on tues to get the apexi fc re mapped and setup on the rolling road which should hopefully see me getting around 300 bhp at the wheels, its also having a silenced de cat fitted (it already has a non silenced de cat but would be nicer to quiet it down a bit ) and two pillow ball bushes fitted to the rear suspension to sort out a knock it has on each side when going over the bumps.the car is getting better and better with every thing thats been done so far. once the poly mounts are fitted and the work is done at reworx i shall slow down a lot and do the other little things over a longer period of time. cheers si

update: i have been to re worx today to get the silenced cat pipe and bushes done. i also had the car dino'ed and set up on the dino they loaded in one of there base maps and on the first run the car had 266.9 bhp at the wheels which i thought was pretty good for a first run until i talked to chris and max, the fuel pump was not holding pressure and the spark was weak causing a very uneven graph for the torque and power. if a fuel pump was needed and a twin spark setup i think my wallet wouldve melted chris asked if it was ok to remove the immobiliser make good the wiring and try again so it could be ruled out as they have had some bad experiences with immobilisers as they cut in the main feeds for important componants. i agreed which they did and then they tried again. they started with a few easy runs to make sure everything was working, which it was, so they made a few minor adjustments and went for a proper run. they got 308.3 bhp at the rear wheels with i nice stable setup which equated to 369.8 bhp at the fly wheel. to say i was happy is an understatement.  they took it for a road test with the laptop and sensors plugged in and with a few more minor tweeks everything was good. chris recomended that i get the immobiliser fitted to the starter feed only so the car wont turn over from the key but the immobiliser will no longer interefere with the important wiring and cause the power to drop again. (ok so i guess i still have one more thing on my list to do now  ) if anyone needs a tune up i cant recomend re worx enough definatley worth the trip to portsmouth. si
