Hey, its sunday afternoon and im just lazying around the house nursing a small hangover, playing on xbox live etc etc Hoovered and polished the car the other day and it looks lurvely and this is where it gets random!!!!!But then I was thinking in my usual obscure fashion, what do other people use to keep their rides looking fly? Any good techniques? So I then thought about posting a small thread similar to the garage we have on the forum whereby you can post details of your hoover and prefered polishing products/techniques that keep your car looking bling. So here goes: Upholstery: Primarily black carpet, seats, PVC and plastic. Make: Dyson Model: DC23 allergy Extras: Car kit. Notes: Its pretty good because it's small and access very small areas with good suction and lots of extra tools. Removing the crap it sucks up is easy to dispose of too. Click here for the product description On the dash and door sills I use dash shine with armour all static free cloths. Detailling: Wash: Meguilars High glass wash, with a special antiscratch sponge. Wax/Polish: Auto-Glym Wax and polish applied using Megulars separate rub on, rub off lint free cloths. Technique: I always find less is more with wax, layers over mass and circular motions work wonders. |

Anti Scratch sponge - I dunno, thats what the jargon said on the packaging ! Upon thinking about it how can a sponge scratch? Its a ruddy sponge!!! Its got a thin layer of neoprene type material on one of the faces to help hold the suds and water between dispatching the bucket and impact on the car - ooooooohhhhh! It also has smooth edges and the foam is tightly packed with contours for finger slots and a pointy bit for getting into hard to reach areas!!!!! Tbh its a sponge, nothing more nothing less! I just found it quite humourous as I thought about it! And just like you brad a bit stoned! Ha! |
