on the way to the museum my car started playin up,eveytime i wound it up the bloody thing would hesitate and misfire and backfire and generally just feel crap. anyway when i got back home feeling all miserable cos my car was knackered i set about fixing the problem, plugs or coil packs where on the list for inspection but first i checked the boost and vacum pipes even tho i found no splits i decided to try the original subaru pipes back on as opposed to the blue silicon things i had on there...and guess what????? yep problem solved! must have been a small boost leak somewhere but not only that the improvement with the harder pipes on instead of the soft silicon ones is very noticable. boost feels sharper when it comes on and all in all made me again.

Some after marcket silicon pipe are not well made and do not have the metal rings to make them stronger. In some cases the turbo can suck the intake pipe closed, this may have been your problem rether than a leak. |
