Looking at cheap cars.

Micra seems a bargain regarding year/price you can get them for.

Anyone got any experience??

Yup.

Coming from a Stonemasonry/management background sitting in a office all day (or night depending what shift I'm on!) is pretty dull.

I get no satisfaction from my job right now and we've been informed that our jobs will be goingt to Budapest in a year or so so I need to do something :)

hello-- sister had a k11 for 4 years and i borrowed it-- and her bf got one. now theres a few things worth mentioning-- first of all, the handling and bodyroll. now my friend rolled hers. and we have always agreed that theyre pretty dangerous in the bends, if you go over 20mph in a roundabout. only the super s models had ABS and they tend to be a little easy to lock up on the wet roads.. so all in all, pretty easy going-- fuel economy is alright, although they have a fuel cut off switch which sometimes flickers.. all in all sister didnt lift the bonnet more than 1ce in 4 years.. and it was still running after it rusted beyond MOT without too many problems, and 110k on the clock-- not good for long drives or motorways, or fast corners-- but a runaround im not joking, i actually had a lot of fun in it really ncie to drive :)

I seriously cannot recommend a 1.0 K10 Auto enough, that’s the one to own. I had so much fun in my old runabout K10. Amazing handbrake equals even better drifting than a RWD car with an open diff.

Being auto you could do all the tricks you see on TV e.g perfect reverse 180’s and such the like.

I know it almost sounds like a chavy thing to say, but I had more fun pissing around in my old K10 auto than I have ever had in any car with 4 or 5 times the power.

I absolutely loved my micra when I had it. It was my first car and I really really loved it!!! Cheaper petrol, insurance, tax and maintenance. Think mine cost £30 for a new battery in the two years I had it and that was all.

My sister has one at the moment, and recently discovered it was a cut and shut jobby but it still runs perfectly!!!!

If I needed a cheap run around I would defo get one, and so would rick!

My first car was an old F reg micra, my mum had a micra, my sister had a micra and my Nan has a micra. I never rolled mine or shellys and we know how bad my driving is at times.
I think they are a great car for a cheap run around, very easy to drive and reliable.

I had a mate who rolled a micra doing 30mph down a country lane - luckily it had a sunroof for him to climb out of!

Other than that I think they  for run-o-bouts
