It drives fine on the road albeit a splutter now and again when it comes on boost...I dont mind it running a little rich,my old WRX used to run 12.3 AFR@1.2 bar(lean i know) but i think that was down to the SB ecu i ran in it... boy did she fly..lol

I thought the result was pretty good considering the amount of boost it made.

Splutter is probably down to plugs, plug gap or the expensive answer old worn or cracked coil packs (£200 from JPS Motorsport).

I wouldn't run an SB in anything...they run way too lean and hence why so many STi 1 RA's go pop....
The boost duty in the STi RA is also very high for the target boost compared to the other ECU. So if fitted in anything else will run higher boost then mapped for.

Plugs is my first point of call... ;)

I know what you mean about the leaness of the SB ecu,it was evident yesterday. My mate ran his V2 STI RA and that was running something like 13.2AFR...i fully expect him to buy one of your chips to replace the one in the SB.

STi V2 RA should be running a 7K ECU and shouldn't be that lean.
they run similar fueling to the Z4 ECU IIRC.

If it is running a 7K I would get the MAF cleaned and checked.

I thought they ran an SB with the chip to make it 275ps...which version ran the SB?

STi 1 RA ran the SB with the Chip
(STi 1 was SA, STi 1 RA was SB, STi 1 Wagon was SC)

STi 2 RA Ran the 7K, no chip but has the socket fitted
(STi 2 was 6K)

Just checked the AFR :
SB Mapped to 12.54AFR
7K Mapped to 10.5AFR
