Lol i cant believe im going to say this but im bored of my Supra. Been doing some thinking and ive come to the desicion to sell her soon as im not prepared to do the £2500 turbo conversion and im moving away to Hampshire soon and just wont be able to get that sort of money until im sorted with a flat of mine own which would be a while! Yes Luigi i really am this time! So what do i get with th 6k ive got? Must be, RWD (will consider 4wd) Turbo'd or supercharged or Turbo conversion capable! (mx5's etc) Ive got the money to look after a turbo'd car just not the money to buy an entire engine and get it fitted! Must look nice but Nothing like a 4wd turbo'd mazda 323 (Yes i know theyre quick but i do like my looks. I will consider 2 seats! I dont want cheap but if theres something worth buying cheaper, spending abit or alot to make it really special then ill consider it! Im looking for something i can do as a project a bit like Andys delsol! Something that over time (say 2 years) can become something really special and that im proud of! Im fed up of looking at cars now because i just dont know what to look for. I was hoping that a group of enthusiasts would be able to come up with some ideas that perhaps i hadn't thought of,... And last but not least... Does anyone fancy a supra?

I heard the fuel consumption would be worse than my Supra? And what about that dreaded engine rebuild? |

I think a Toyota Yaris would suit you  Maybe a newer shape Celica if you can find one for that money. The performance you have at mo is at the around new Civic Type R range incase your after good reliable performance. |

Depends what you go for....with 6k to boot you could buy a STI type R,2 door, forged engine, dccd running 280ps as standard. Or the STI type RA basically the same car but in 4 door with the roof vent....Both cars will do 0-60 in about 4.9 seconds stock....or maybe just a late version STI...Full decat remap etc will see the best part of 330bhp the choice is yours...

I know how you feel. TBH i do prefer to have seats that people can actually sit in. The supra doesnt really have the luxury! Jay - Ive looked up the STI type R and i cant find any info on it. I found a wrx sti but thats it! The following info is from wikipedia. The first STi models featured higher power ratings than the WRX, while later versions of both WRX and STi were rated at 280 PS (206 kW/276 bhp) due to the Japanese manufacturers' informal agreements around power ratings. Its top speed was electronically limited at 198 km/h (115 mph) and it had a 0–100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds in the UK Impreza Turbo 218 PS (160 kW/215 bhp) version. I do like the sound of 4.9 secs as stock

Ill get some better pics up next week as its getting the coilovers sorted next week so i dont want to ruin the suprise of how its going to look. SZ-Rs go for anything between 5-6k depending on the market/condition/mileage etc. Mines on 80k and is in very good condition so im asking 5200 ono bearing in mind i just spent £300 on the coilovers and £60 getting them set up + a decat which is getting fitted on friday (will sound ace)! |
