If you buy the wheels new then they will probably come with new nuts, not sure about standard nuts fitting different wheels it may depend on the wheel.

hmmm only reason i asked is because when i first started driving i had 2 flat tires in the space of a week so on the second time i had no spare, had to use a mates.... was driving a metro (dont laugh) and mate had one, used a alloy wheel with a standard nut and my wheel came off while doing a fair old speed on the motorway!! so a little bit paranoid these days!!

no one got a deffo answer for scoobys in this question then?

It does depend on wheel manuafcturer as some have a narrower bore and standard nuts are too big! Some also have flat bottoms rather than tapered! if you are unsure just buy some new ones, ally tuner lugs form the good old US of A are only £20 or something.

maybe ask again when the wheel decision has been made
