TBH i havent really noticed much difference in the ride its the tyres ive noticed more they dont have half as much grip as the yokos.

They might get better once scrubbed in! What are they anyway??

Brakes wise you should be fine, they aren't a huge caliper from memory and i'm sure are designed to fit under 17's...
