whilst on the subject, mine has started to slip, and is up at the end of its travel. Im hoping to get a new one in next week, but is it worth adjusting my current one a bit first, till i get my new one in? I have had a look at it today and noticed what i think is an adjusting nut... |

Don't thinkl you can adjust the clutch on imprezas (may be talking bollocks though ) but may be different on a sport.cheap and temporary fix is to 1 or 2 standing starts (nothing extreme) to get rid of the crap of the plate butr it is only temporary (although mine didn't satart slipping for about a year afterwards) |

if you are being careful then don't worry too much. When i say standing start hold the revs at about 4k then let her rip (bloody good fun and shows how quick the impreza accelerates even the early ones )

Dont bother with just the center friction plate a complete kit is always a better option center plate clutch cover and release bearing On the scoobs (dont know on sports) the clutch is hydraulic so any wear is taken up automaticaly and there is no adjustment If you damage the flywheel either heat cracks or letting the plate wear to the rivets then it gets more expensive |

Basically it should get rid of crap that does build up on the clutch but it will only temporarily sort it. since you are only getting it in 4th gear i wouldn't bother unless you really want to. |
